My final project for Racial Justice Movements in the United States
An effort to portray what I've learned from my experiences at the Chemawa Indian School.
The words are my thoughts and reflections, as well as a narrative depicting the history of Jason Lee's United Methodist mission, affecting native populations and settlers. I also borrowed a poem about dreaming of a better future from Anna, a staff member at Chemawa.
The pictures are sketches from Chemawa students, my own doodles while students were innocently napping on their textbooks, and newspaper clippings.
