It's been a good while since our trip to Peru, but the pictures are still worth sharing.

The next few are samples of the terrain we crossed.
All along the way we came across ruins, indicative of the way the Incans lived and conquered. They built structures and settlements for specific reasons (we think), and then continued to develop and conquer as they were threatened or continued to expand.

Seems like we had rain the whole way, but all ended up with sunburns from the clear skies and 70 degree day in Machu Picchu City. This is a photo of a restored building, modeling the manner in which the Incans used thatched roofing.
